Character encoding was created by ragou
Hi, I have problem with character encoding.
When I load GB in most cases appears mess. I have to refresh to see the right encoding although in tune.php a have set the proper character encoding (windows-1251).
In admin area nothing appears right. It's nothing, because I can change character encoding in the browser, but at the start page it is unacceptable because not every user knows what to do.
Is there any way to fix this?
Thank you.

Version 1.8 has much better character encoding (UTF-8), so that would be your long term solution. It is due to be released very soon.

What language are you trying to use the guestbook in?

Thanks,
Pete

Bulgarian. It is cyrillic.
P.S.
By the way, as a matter of fact, we invented cyrillc alphabet 13 centuries ago.

Excellent. I have tested this character set agains the new 1.8 Guestbook version (currently in beta):

It looks like everything saves ok. If you could also try russian characters I would be very grateful. We are trying to put the finishing touches to version 1.8 so we can release it to general public.

Thanks,
Pete
